Charts News: Katy Perry’s “E.T.” Back At #1

As it is often said on this website, the charts have no mercy.
Sadly to say it appears that not even the queen of pop was able to help the Barbadian princess, for a beautiful alien has taken away their crown.
Last week Rihanna unveiled her hot remix for “S&M” which featured Britney Spears dropping some interesting lines and of course the track skyrocketed to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
But that was short lived, Katy Perry’s “E.T.” featuring Kanye West has abducted Rihanna’s “S&M Remix” and is now back on the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 where it belongs thanks to a surprising performance on “American Idol” last week – by the way it sold 344,000 downloads.
As for “S&M” it has slipped to No. 4. but then again the Caribbean diva who is busy turning the streets into a fashion walkway has not been really been promoting the song.
As for the rest of the charts it looks something like this, Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” took the #2 spot, the Black Eyed Peas’ “Just Can Get Enough” sat in the #3 position while Jeremih’s “Down On Me (Ft. 50 Cent)” came at #5.
Meanwhile Bruno Mars’ “The Lazy Song” took the #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, while American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez’s club banger “On The Floor (Ft. Pitbull)” squeezed in at #7 and Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now (Ft. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne)” made an entrance at #8.
To wrap up the top 10, we have Ke$ha’s “Blow” at #9 and Cee-Lo Green’s “F*ck You (Forget You)” took the last spot.
Now this is what I do not understand, with all the promotion, crazy wardrobes, how can Lady Gaga’s “Judas” slipped to #12?
Is Gaga losing her touch or did she get too controversial for her fans?
