Lil’ B “I’m Gay (I’M Happy)” Album Cover

Despite the controversies surrounding the mere announcement that he had plans to title his upcoming sixth CD I’m Gay, ‘I’m Happy’ in parentheses, Lil B has showed that he is fearless in the face of critics and death threats by not scrapping the project and instead choosing to unveil the art work for the LP.

Lil B whose real name is Brandon McCartney and who received death threats for his decision to call the album like he did, has released the cover which was inspired by the famous Camp Lo painting entitled Uptown Saturday Night that was previously used by RnB legend Marvin Gaye for his I Want You album.

While the title of the album will continue to stir drama in the Hip Hop and gay communities, the cover itself which features the different steps to real mental freedom/emancipation seems pretty simple and conventional.

Now all eyes will be on the track-listing, will it really support the gays, will it be polarizing or will we discover that “The BasedGod” was just using the title as a gimmick to sell more records?
