Ice-T Disses Rick Ross & Kanye West

It is a well known fact that the word rapper goes hand and hand with the word beef especially when that rapper’s name is Ice-T – just ask Soulja Boy about his feud with the Gangsta Rap artist.

Ice-T who attended the big premiere of VH1′s latest Rock Doc called Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation along with countless other rappers featured in the piece/documentary decided to conduct an interview with the the network where he shared his thoughts on every thing and everyone related to the rap game.

The very opinionated Ice-T who is mostly known theses days for his work as an actor on the hit TV show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit dissed Rick Ross by stating that he was a fake for stealing another man’s name.

The Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang actor said:

“That’s fake. Rick Ross stole a n—-’s name. I call him ‘Identity Crisis.’ He thinks he’s [Freeway] Rick Ross, he thinks he’s Larry Hoover, he thinks he’s Big Meech, he thinks he’s MC Hammer, he thinks he’s Tupac. Like, who the f*ck are you really, dude?”

Ice-T whose real name is Tracy Marrow and who is currently starring in his own reality show Ice Loves Coco with his eccentric wife Coco went on the blast the fact that rappers collaborate with untalented pop singers like Rihanna and Katy Perry (Kanye West???).

He revealed that rap is now soft and added :

“Rap is pop right now. Q-Tip said, ‘Rap is not pop. If you call it that, then stop.’ Rap was a counterculture that went against pop. But when you have Rihanna singin’ on your records and you’re doin’ records with Katy Perry, that’s no longer rap. It’s pop music, pop using rap delivery. When you hear Lil Wayne sayin’ ‘I got a chopper in the car,’ you go, ‘Yeah, right you do.‘”

Do you agree that Rick Ross is fraud and that Hip-Hop is no longer what it used to be?
