Noel Gallagher On Lady Gaga: ‘Madonna-lite’

Noel Gallagher who is currently promoting his upcoming CD Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds out on the 17th October 2011, has taken time out from his busy schedule to blast Lady Gaga.

The former Oasis member who made headlines in 2008 for slamming organizers of Glastonbury Festival for scheduling Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z to perform at the event is now turning to Lady Gaga with some harsh words.

Gallagher called Gaga a marketing scheme who will not survive the test of time because she is a “Madonna-lite” who knows nothing about music and just tries to feed the weirdos whom she calls fans/little monsters.

The English musician and singer-songwriter had the following to tell rock magazine Q:

“I don’t give a f**king monkey’s about Lady Gaga. It’s all about the meat suit and the controversy. Is it about music? Really? She’s got the publicity side sorted, but where’s the f**king music?“Her first album gets played a lot round my house by my daughter. Paparazzi? It’s Madonna-lite. Madonna was hardcore. She took it to the edge musically as well as everything else. Twenty years from now, will we listen to Lady Gaga? No.”

He went on to dismiss the fact that Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta’s fight for gay rights (gay marriage and Don’t ask, don’t tell” (DADT)) and often tackle issues like teen bullying. He added:

“She might think she is making a stand for the freaks and the weirdos but they’re not going to have any decent f**king music to play are they? My daughter loves her though so I’ll shut up before I become offensive.”

It is safe to say that Noel Gallagher really hates Gaga either because he really thinks she is faking everything or because he is jealous of her success while he is a has-been.
