Adele seriously masters the art of melancholia – she is the only woman on earth who can take Paris the city of romance, with its charming lights, romantic scenery, serene waters and turn it into pure sadness.

The British songbird who is officially the queen of tristesse has unveiled the official music video for the tear jerking ballad “Someone Like You” taken from her 21 album which was directed by Jake Nava and as stated above misery and hopelessness reign.

The visual for the piano driven “Someone Like You” is shot in black and white and features Adele looking stunningly broken-hearted as she strolls in the wee hours of the morning through Parisian streets.

She seldom looks at the camera that constantly keep giving the viewers of glimpse of the beautiful capital – like La Seine, the Eiffel towers, the historical bridges and cathedrals.

Despite rekindling the flames with the man who broke her heart and left her grieving in real life, Adele ends the clip starring in a mirror as she watches a male figure walk away from her.
